Limitations

What this estimate cannot tell you

A Fitness Age result summarizes selected signals. It cannot capture every aspect of health, performance, access, disability, medication effects, or lived context.

  • It is not a diagnosis, medical-device output, mortality prediction, or measure of personal worth.
  • Self-reported activity and effort can be affected by recall, interpretation, and changing circumstances.
  • Resting heart rate changes with medication, illness, stress, sleep, hydration, caffeine, temperature, and measurement technique.
  • Waist measurements vary with technique and do not describe strength, endurance, health behavior, or body composition by themselves.
  • Population reference data may not represent every person or subgroup equally well, so the estimate may be less precise for some people.
  • A single result is less informative than repeated measurements collected under similar conditions over an appropriate interval.

When to seek professional help

If a measurement concerns you, symptoms are new or worsening, or you are unsure whether exercise is appropriate, speak with a qualified health professional. For severe or sudden symptoms, use local emergency services.
